The 6 month hiatus and irresponsibility of this group in keeping up with scanlation only have me to be blamed. I do not wish to use real life as an excuse but I owe you all an explanation nonetheless. Without revealing too much, I'll say why. So right after last update from this group, I spent my Christmas of last year attending funerals of my loved ones. I was suddenly on my own with a useless university degree. I lost it completely for a while. My life is back on track now. This is the first time of my logging on since 6 months ago. Thank you for all the support throughout these past three years, and I am sorry that I have not served the scanlation/manga community at all these past 6 months.
On the brighter side, I am MORE THAN HAPPY that /a/nonymous took it to their own and continued Kono oto Tomare! Fried Squid Scans never believed in "claiming" or “owning" a series; what's more important are the scans being brought to the community as soon as possible in a timely and just manner. I am confident that /a/nonymous did and is doing just that. In fact, /a/nonymous brought up the popularity of Kono oto Tomare! to share its awesomeness with more readers. This brings me so much comfort. /a/nonymous, if you are reading this... I thank you so much for picking up my slack. This is a given by now, but to be more than clear, Fried Squid Scans gladly hands the baton to /a/nonymous, and /a/nonymous has every right to continue the series.
And now, onto the heaviest announcement of all...
I plan to disband this group after completion of Dr. Duo. Due to my absence, I'm not sure which staff are still following me (I owe you guys my greatest sorry). But, I do know that ToshiroDragon (raw provider) has been constantly checking up on me to make sure the series is not left in the dust; recently, Black Dragons no Fansub, a Spanish group, has graciously offered redrawing/cleaning help to keep the series going in exchange for translations. With this kind offer, I do foresee completing Dr. Duo. If not, I'll make sure the series gets done one way or another (such as opening up it to another group completely).
As for Hime-sama Tanuki no Koizanyou, I'm dropping it. Our translator Nick translated Chapter 6. If you are a group or individual looking up to pick up the series, please make sure you get the translation file from me! Thank you so much.
Once again, I am so sorry for my irresponsibility. But I really do hope that our scans once brought you joy.
